Abstract

Nuclear physical methods of analysis were used for the determination of some trace elements in the ecosystem of Lake Baikal (water, bottom sediments and the water organisms, phytoplankton, zooplankton, zoobenthos and fish). Our observations suggest that the health status of the Lake Baikal is good and bioavailability of toxic elements is very low.
